Beautiful Decay
In their own words – ‘Beautiful/Decay is the definitive art and design publication showcasing emerging and established contemporary artists. The magazine acts as a go-to, first exposure sourcebook that reveals today’s most influential and innovative talents from the creative world. B/D strives to uphold the integrity of the magazine and their artists through distinctive covers, attention to detail and design, and provocative creative content.’ Fascinating stuff here… be prepared to lose an hour or two! http://beautifuldecay.com/
Amber Online Responsible for the glorious Side Gallery in Newcastle amongst other things. From Amber’s site – ‘The work is rooted in social documentary, built around long term engagements with working class and marginalized communities in the North of England.’ Sirkka-Liisa Konttinen’s work in Byker in the seventies is wonderful, and makes me realise the opportunities I’ve missed to document in my own home town over the years. I can hear you groaning – another unfathomable three letter acronym. AEB however, can prove to be very useful – and its the very first step to producing images using more advanced techniques such as HDR

The Golden Hour
A rather nice site for deciding when the best times are for going out and taking your favourite landscape when its bathed in the sexiest light. Just pick where on earth you are, and let the site do the hard work for you! http://www.golden-hour.com/
Lost America
One of my favourite photographers. Troy takes light painting and night photography to a new level. Spectacularly good. http://www.lostamerica.com/
